Send Keystrokes not emulating shift properly

Post by therealbiglou » Mon Mar 30, 2020 2:32 pm

I am using Send Keystrokes in conjunction with Find Window and Bring To Front in order to send keystrokes to a VOIP program. Specifically, I'm wanting to send Ctrl+Shift+P to the window. When I do, the program only detects Ctrl+P (which does a different action). I've tried the different options for alternative methods, pressing up, pressing down, etc. Nothing fixes this issue.

Is there a different way to send the keystrokes? A better plugin?

Hi,
Did you try these actions in this order?

1. Pressing down Shift
2. Pressing down Ctrl
3. Pressing down p
4. Up p
5. Up Ctrl
6. Up Shift

This should work
If you like my work, Image me a drink

Thanks! So, it looks like it might be an issue with the program. After trying your method, it still would not work. I then decided to try the same command in Illustrator (which opens the place dialog). It worked great. Still not working as expected in my targeted app.

Is there an alternative method of sending keystrokes I can try? A python command?
