I understand your sentence unfortunately very little.
However, it looks like you have a wrong file __init__.py.
Can you please put the file here as an attachment?
I need to see the contents of the file, that you have in the directory Battery.

Yes, my suspicions were confirmed.
Unfortunately, you did not follow my instructions.
This is not a file that you can download from the opening post of this topic.
This is autoremote plugin.

It is impossible. In some of the steps you're making a mistake.
Unfortunately I can not see in which.
I am not able to help more.

When I download the file and look into it with an editor (notepad.exe)
so the file begins as follows:

Code: Select all

version="0.0"

# Plugins/Battery/__init__.py
#
# Copyright (C)  2014 Pako  (xxxxx.xxxxx@xxxxx.xx)
#
# This file is a plugin for EventGhost.
# Copyright (C) 2005-2009 Lars-Peter Voss <bitmonster@eventghost.org>
Can you explain to me how it can be changed as follows (you saying, that you have this file in the folder Battery):

Code: Select all

# -*- coding: utf-8 -*-

import eg

eg.RegisterPlugin(
    name = "AutoRemote",
    author = "joaomgcd",

Could it be so simple....that when you download the file, it is already one existing in the download folder with the same name (__init__.py) ????

If you then download a new file with the same name it will automatically get the name __init__ (1).py, the third will be __init__ (2).py etc etc

Check carefully in the download folder that it is not having those files inside. Then clean up and redo download again

Dear Walter,
I am sure you are right.
That's the only possible explanation of how this can happen.
Thank you for your help.

Do you use windows10?
I installed it yesterday and it seems that nothing happens.
Maybe the way to get the batterystatus is different to previous versions?
Does anybody use it with windows10 and it works?

A lot is not working any longer in Windows 10, there are not only problems with some plugins for EG

it works :)
My mistake was to edit the plugin without restart.

Your plugin is listed in autorun?
You did edit the plugin?
Otherwise make a doubleclick and add some alarmlevels.
After pressing OK restart the plugin.
You should find an event called "battery.AlarmLevel.yourname[/]", when percentage is reached.
