PushBullet plugin certificate verify failed

Post by jeanmarcg » Wed Oct 20, 2021 8:22 am

Hi

Since the end of September, Puhbullet plugin stops listening for messages. I got this message below in the log :

-----------------------------------------------------------------
10:10:10 PushBullet: Haven't seen a nop lately, reconnecting
10:10:11 PushBullet: WebSocket error: [Errno 1] _ssl.c:493: error:14090086:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate verify failed
----------------------------------------------------------------

I think this is related to the expiration of Let's Encrypt's root certificate but i can't figure out any way to solve it.
Any clue ?

Sorry for my poor english
Jean-Marc

for information, pushbullet is working fine with node-red.
So i think the problem is coming from eventghost and Let'sEncrypt's root certificate trusting. I'm running the last stable version of Eventghost.

Thanks, but I already tried that, it doesn't work for me, even with Eventghost started with admin privilege.

Hey, did you manage to sort this issue? Having the exact same SSL error with the LIFX plugin. I tried the cacert.pem fix in the above GitHub thread to no avail, any solution to this?

Hi Fez

unfortunalety I didn't find a way to fix this issue, just a workaround using Node-red to handle the pushbullet message and pass to eventghost... but not clean... the problem is tied to EventGhost itself, but not sure it is stil maintained
