so, to answer your question, here's what I get :
Available -> nothing at all, just an empty line when I use "Dump result to log" action
Off-line -> it's a bit different, it shows "None" in the log pane

So if it is a None. I will have it return Offline. and if it is blank i will have it change it to Available.
that's all i needed to know. If you can run through all of the presences and make sure they return the proper thing.
could you please add the XEP_0333 ? it will inform us when message has been read by the recipient.
More info here :
and the plugin is located here :

I think you need to adapt it a little bit because it was made for slixmpp, it's a fork of sleekxmpp the one you implemented in EG, more info here :
This fork seems better and still active to this day, but we didn't use it in the first place because it didn't support python < 3.4 so we were kind of stuck because EG is still in the 2.x branch.
Hi could you please have a look to this ? it's really annoying, and ruins the user experience, I have to reconnect manually every 2 or 3 days by relaunching EG (because that's the only way to make it work again...).Snowbird wrote: ↑Mon Feb 26, 2018 8:02 amWhat you're saying didn't work, if the server was down for less than 60 seconds then it should have reconnected on its own, this wasn't the case, and on the other hand if the server was down for more than 60 seconds then I should have been able to restart the plugin to make it reconnect, and it it didn't work either... so either I misunderstood your explanation, or there's something not working as expected.
ok fine, it would be nice if you could also add 2 events, one when the connection to the server is lost, and one when the EG client has reconnected successfully, this will serve 2 purposes, we will know when the server is down, and we could add some actions when this happens.
did you get any chance to check this yet ? It's really frustrating to use something great on a daily basis that stops working all of a sudden, it really kills the user experience. I'm pretty sure you can fix this in no time since everything works perfectly !
I have the same problem as Snowbird. The connection to the server jabber.de gets lost about once a day. Until now I used miranda to send and receive messages with eventghost. Your plugin is much more simple to use. It would be nice, if you could solve the problem.
many weeks have past, and yes the problem is still there, it's really killing the user experience... can't use it reliably. It's hard to say, but something that you can't count on it is almost considered as useless. I hope Kevin will find the time to fix this once and for all.
