MS surface dial plugin?

Post by johnb263 » Wed Nov 08, 2017 4:24 am

One of those things you don't know you need until you use it - but, very little in the line of customization on windows 10. Three actions, turn left, right and push down, can be assigned key strokes, but these do not create eg events.

The only event I see is with the default "volume" setting which will cause a "system volume xx" event. I used this to adjust the volume of a Denon avr (through the denon plugin / serial link), and it works great. Nice big volume knob wherever you want it.

But it would be nice to have something that could create eg events when the actions are assigned to key combinations. This can result in endless customization.

ok so so I am thinking that you want events to take place when you press key combinations yes??

if so then install the Keyboard plugin. it comes with EventGhost.
If you like the work I have been doing then feel free to Image

Keyboard plugin have no effect - I have it installed and have been using it for both keyboard and mouse - but no events are generated for the dial...
BTW, thanks for eventghost, great software.
