Creating an O-MEGA Button

Post by Sem;colon » Fri Jun 05, 2020 9:43 pm

Hello Everyone,

here is a tutorial about how to create and organize buttons within the O-MEGA system.
I also added a small introduction explaining what buttons, pages and views are.
This tutorial is highly recommended to get started with the O-MEGA system.

There are no programming skills required for this tutorial.

See tutorial attached! :)

Hello everyone,

I just updated the tutorial above with a 2nd part that explains how to create a more simple button and how you can change the position of your buttons on a default template.

Hi Sem;colon,
I wanted to say thanks for your contibution to the Eventghost community with this very large and impressive project!

I have many automation-things that I currently control from different places (IR blasters, KNX switches, Android devices via Tasker, Eventghost webpage with (ugly-looking) URL hyperlink-commands). A nice-looking, flexible control surface with easy-to-program buttons would be a good substitution for the EG webpage, although I have to admit I use this seldomly, since I mainly use several control scenes from Tasker.

I am currently pressed for time, but I hope to check out your tutorial shortly!

Hi piert,
You're welcome! :D
When you check it out, you'll see that this is much more than just a nice looking control interface - with it's state machine it brings EventGhost to a new level of automation :)
