USBUIRT on Windows 10

Post by jachin99 » Wed Jun 27, 2018 5:50 pm

Like MCE Remotes, USBUIRT is long abandoned by its developer. Because using this has been a topic of discussion, I'm sharing this link which talks about updated drivers, and disabling driver signing enforcement in WInodws 10. I'm still on hunt for a simple, contemporary remote control for WIndows 10.

I have these files should the link ever die from that thread.

Just as an little pointer here.

Think outside the box some. You can use any remote you want and you don't have to worry about having a receiver that plugs directly into a windows computer either.

I can give you other options as far as IR blasters and receivers. The MCE API for the first generation remotes still works so this can be used to mimic the second generation remotes identically. and through the use of EG we can take input from pretty much anything and turn it into an MCE remote
