About missing plugins.

Post by svengali » Fri Mar 13, 2020 4:24 pm

Sorry...
I know we are not supposed to post about missing plugins but...
I used eventghost a couple of years ago. Stopped using it.
I made a backup of plugins at that time. It's from oktober 2018.
I have a list of the plugins names. It's 114 plugins.
I do think it is a bit much to ask of me to search the forum for all 114 names and check if anyone ask for the plugin. :?
I tried to message active admin kgschlosser, but was not allowed as newcomer to the forum.

What would you want me to do next?

I could zip them and put them on gofile.io for download. It's free and seems to work ok.
And ofcourse, post the link here.

When i wrote that HarmonyHubControl.exe worked fine for me it was with the ultimate hub and using commands over wifi on my lan.
I would not recommend bluetooth. It isn't stable enough.
You could start and stop the actions (devices) that you programmed earlier with the Harmony.
You could not control individual actions for a device such as the volume. You still needed the Harmony remote for that.
But you can do eventghost actions for volume and other things directly for your device.

Ok then.
Here is the link where you can download the plugins.
The name is EventGhost_plugins.zip. Filesize 4mb.

Expired

There's no timelimit so it should be accessible as long as the owner of the service keep it going.
There's now a timelimit of 10 days on my chosen service.

I just went through your plugins. There is only a single plugin that is not apart of the core plugins that get shipped with EventGhost. the one you have for the harmony hub is not a plugin.

Now when i have refreshed my knowledge about Eventghost, i see that.
It's just 4 MB so i'll leave it at that.
When i saw the board info on missing plugins on my first visit in a long time the reaction was to search my old folders for eg plugins.
The zip was the result. I had some more but i could see their download links on eg startpage/productpage.
It seems i didn't have the neeed for anything else but the old webserver plugin in my earlier homecontrol.

The reason i got tired of it was that i had Windows HomeServer 2011 hosting eg and webserver. WHS2011 was, as it should, set to update itself automatically. On reboot it didn't allow anything to autostart without an admin logged in. When the webpage didn't do the actions it should i had to remote connect to WHS2011 and start eg. You get tired of that and start things manually instead.
I'm now testing another pc setup to avoid reboots.

I was only letting you know and I do thank you a lot for posting them. we do appreciate it very much.

As far as Windows Home server is concerned. There should be no ned to reboot the thing. Ever. I have a Windows Server box that has been running for almost 24/7 for the last 6 years or so. only getting shut down once a year in order for me to give it a dusting. Tho I really do not even ned to do that because the air is filtered somewhat going into the server cabinet.

Maybe i'm using the wrong words.
Maybe it's restart i'm after. Some of the windows updates demands a restart of windows. I had allowed it to do so on its own.
