see I told ya. those things are wicked sensitive to the voltage as well as any AC bounce. they only have something like a += 0.3 volt tolerance.

we'll see how they get on over time. so far I've been pleased with them. good for modding too with the addition DIO pins. pretty awesome for sub $5

They are awesome little devices. You can even install python on them. the only thing i wish they had were more input pins. there simply is not enough of them. I know I can add a channel expander to the thing. but it's another component and I do not know if flashing with say micropython will it handle the expander properly.

I take it the SONOFF® 4CH R2 4 Channel 10A 2200W doesn't help?

Presumably the additional DIO pins from the ESP8285 / ESP8266 aren't tracked on the PCB? Soldering directly to the chip would be a nightmare!
