Forum Change

Post by kgschlosser » Tue Nov 07, 2017 7:55 am

I have been thinking about having the header bar and/or navigation bar for the forum be sticky.

The header bar is the dark blue at the top and the navigation is the one below it. I would like to know what others think should be done.

I have already coded up a working version of moving both bars, you can check it out HERE

As long as everything scrolls smoothly, and it doesn't grab your attention then I like it

I didn't vote... but...
See the repo/milestone and two little buttons below that in this screenshot? ...

Could they be moved towards the bottom of the page?
Just cause it seems like those are more geek/dev type links/info.
Not forum / navigation related.

Cool to have them. But at the top?
This part of EG is for "foruming".
Most forum users may not care or need those.
Forum stuff Top...
Other stuff not at the Top. Front & center.

Just nitpicking. Tossing in my two cents.
Either way not a big whoop. The place looks great.

I need to set up some responsive for those still. when you don't view the page from a mobile device it looks OK. but from the mobile device it takes up too much space. maybe I will just hide them when viewed from a mobile device
