To riksvag:

Yes, I see that this is a bug (you can easily fix it yourself)

Open the SunTrackerplugin file
"C:\Program Files\EventGhost\plugins\SunTracker\__init__.py"
with the notepad

Goto line 446

Change iMinOnPeriod to self.iMinOnPeriod

Save, restart EG

Sorry!

This bug is fixed in the version with the moving ghost function

Best regards, Walter

PS I have now also uploaded a fixed version for you (and others)

To fatboy,

I can guess, but it would be easier if you could make a screenshot of your setting.

Think about the following when you are defining the settings

If its Monday and you like the lamps to be turned off 02.00 the following night, you have to insert 0200 on Tuesday, And so on,,,

Best regards, Walter

Hi,

Also this version is now updated with
- Bugfix in string conversion

I plan to stop supporting this version, instead try to use the one with "moving ghost"

Great job.

OK, I'll see if I can work up the nerv to follow your instructions to switch to the moving ghost version. Great name by the way.

Again thanks.

I made one variable name which has changed since the last version. Works with 0.3.7.

this plugin looks like just the one I am looking for, but I can't get it to work.
I'm sure this is something I am doing wrong.....
I downloaded the first ZIP fil, copied the content SunTracker folder into my EG plugins folder.
When I try to add the plugin in EG, it complains that it cannot read __init__.py for SunTracker.
Am I missing something?

It's probably complaining about missing suntracker.png and suntracker_plugin.png (they are in the zip file in the first post of this thread).

The file included in this post should be all that's needed. The .pyc file is compiled python code, EG will create that automatically if its missing, don't worry about those..

hmmm... doesn't help. I unzipped the containing SunTracker folder, copied that over to my EventGhost\plugins folder, and tried to add the plugin.
I can see the SunTracker in the list, but when I select it EG says "no information" available, and in the event window comes back with "can't read... etcetera".
What am I doing wrong?

Hmm.. What version of EventGhost are you using? It works fine for me on 0.3.7.r851

0.3.5.7 build 908.
But I'm sure this is something I'm doing wrong. What exactly are the steps I should take to implement this plugin into EG?

Did that, and it upgraded me to a newer version.
I was now able to add SunTracker as a plugin, but then when I try anyhing it gives me a bunch of red lines... doesn't look good!

So.. Let me get this right. You updated to 0.3.7 and extracted that last .zip file so that the the __init__.py and the two pictures are in the plugins\SunTracker dir. correct?

Could you then Copy & Paste the errors you are getting, and what exactly you do that causes them. Perhaps then we can get it debugged. Kinda hard to say what is wrong with the 'bunch of red lines' only. It works fine here though.

I can add the plugin, but it then shows an empty screen. Nothing there to configure-.
When I try to add a macros using SunTracker, I get the errors. See attached.
