So I finally finished it for this trial. Attached is the version currently running well in my setup (two boards, address 0 and 3) and works as I wanted it with all inputs/outputs/counters.
Open issue left is
- I need to be sure that configuration settings for inputs, outputs and counters is persistent and survives a restart of the plugin or EG. I use pickle to for this purpose. Dont know if this is "allowed"
