Re: Controlling LED strips with RF

I use the bridge, EG and my own plugin (PhillipsHue), I don't get delays when handeling the lights. I do get delays in handeling events in EG with the remotes. This is because Phillips will only allow pull of data, no push. :(

Re: Ikea coming with a new automation system for lights.

This is very exciting news! I hope they work with the Hue Bridge (and my plugin for the Hue Bridge). If its only stand alone its not very usable, but if it could be integrated into centrally controlled systems it would be great. Cheaper lightbulbs! :)

Re: Controlling LED strips with RF

Phillips Hue has light strips, they can be controlled with the PhillipsHue plugin. But Hue is a bit expensive.

Re: Philips Hue plugin

That seems to be a correct response. The "Keyerror" is due to that I suddenly realized that the "non-colored" lights don't have a hue and sat setting. A temporary fix was to catch the error, I will in a future version handle this differently. It seems like you have a "fake" button imitating the real...

Re: Philips Hue plugin

It sort of works :-) The state.change every 10 seconds is gone, but... Upon pressing a button on the dimmer switch, the plug-in outputs a very angry log in red characters :-) Log: 21:47:09 ---> Welcome to EventGhost <--- 21:47:10 Autostart 21:47:10 Plugin: X10: Generic X10 21:47:11 Plugin: Task Cre...

Re: Philips Hue plugin

If you switch to "All results" for outptlevel in the config, and then make macros for the events of the buttons and use the "getSensorStatus" action for the apropriate button. I'd like to see what changes, and if its something unimportant I can set up the plugin to ignore this changes. Here you go,...

Re: Philips Hue plugin

Thank you!

It seems some other app is updating the status of the button, but not changing anything, just the "last updated" timestamp. I could try to make a work around, but since I don't have this button myself you have to be my tester.

Re: Philips Hue plugin

Yeah, this is odd. I don't have the dimmer button for Hue, but this should not happen. I have uploaded a new version of the plugin, try it. I don't think any of the changes should remove this, but it may give some more info on what is happening. I am using iConnectHue (iPad app) to configure the bu...

Re: Philips Hue plugin

Today I noticed that the Hue plugin (I was on version 0.3.6.2, now I am on 0.4.0 with the same behaviour) logs this event in EventGhost every 10 seconds: PhilipsHue.XFDHueDim2Btn4000State.change This seems odd to me, why does this happen every 10 seconds? Yeah, this is odd. I don't have the dimmer ...

Re: Philips Hue plugin

New version of the plugin is now available on the first page. Due to change in the Hue Bridge behaviour in latest update from Phillips all older versions of my plugin has a broken config window. 0.4.1 by Aquila 2016-10-05 - Searching for new sensors on init added. - Removed fetching of current posit...

Re: Webserver

I've also been playing with the CSP header, but can't get any changes.

I found this: https://java.net/jira/browse/TYRUS-432
If the webserver plugin has the same behaviour, that could explain the disconnect and be easy to fix if one knows where to look.

Re: Newb question how to pass info to another plugin

I think you are looking for the payload of an event. You trigger an event with: self.TriggerEvent("event") If you want payload, say your volum is in variable x: self.TriggerEvent("newvolume", x) In your eventhandler in Eventghost you can then recall the variable with: eg.event.payload Hope this help...

Re: Webserver

Hi! I have been using this plugin with no problem for a long time now. I just upgraded my iPhone to iOS10, and on that phone websockets does not work. It still works on other devices (even iOS9 devices). So the problem is with iOS10. I've been googling the problem, but I can't find an answer that fi...

Re: Philips Hue plugin

Hi, is it possible to change the time that Colorloop need to run through all the colors? I can slow down the Colorloop on my old Living Colors Iris (2nd Gen - NOT Friend of Hue Version) with the remote control up to a few minutes - so maybe it is possible to do that with my Lightstrip Plus too? No,...
