Re: Webserver

One of them is to use a persistent and temporary variables. When the plugin starts, it lists the vocabulary of persistent variables ... Pako I did get that, but I'm also a bit confused - I don't really understand why it's showing up on startup, because it doesn't seem to save the dictionary somewhe...

Re: Devices for Devs ?

Hello Livin, I disagree, EG is a very well designed Home Automation tool, not only for Software, but also for Hardware - it's very flexible and has the potential of being a "one for all" Solution. You can write a phyton script or plugin for everything you are missing in the default - tell me one oth...

Re: MusicBee

The truth is that if you explain why you need it (and I decide it makes sense), then, in fact, I can create such action. OK, I have a web UI for controlling EG and a part of this UI allows me to control my music player - a playlist is a must have here! I can e.g. reorganize, add and remove tracks f...

Re: EventGhost crashes learning remote code from MCE receive

Hi Pako,
No, it works better, but still kills EG from time to time...
(I still don't know what the intention for this function was, I think there's no problem in leaving it out)

Re: New version 4.0.1.r1630 is out!

I have two comments: 1) MceRemote_Vista plugin - please look into the topic 2) Ping - this plugin is not included in the installation file, so it does not belong here 1. I'm about to test it 2. well, it is part of the latest version of EG (I just deleted it (the whole folder) and installed it again...

Re: MusicBee

That's a pretty nice plugin! Also a very nice music player, I didn't know it till now. But as for every media Player plugin I miss some particular functions - I wonder if it would be possible to integrate them? 1. Select and play a particular track (by index) in the actual playlist 2. move a particu...

Re: New version 4.0.1.r1630 is out!

Hello, I applied a little fix to the MceRemote_Vista plugin - I removed the function to see the frequency of the learned IR code which causes EG to crash on windows 8. http://www.eventghost.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3591&p=26768#p26768 I applied some changes to the Ping plugin to get it work pro...

Re: Webserver

Cool!

But unfortunately this only works with AJAX JSON POST-
I just extended the POST enhancement by me to match the functionality of the AJAX JSON POST, so that it also works with jquery Post ;-) !

EDIT: I found a small bug at line 493, I corrected it and updated the attachment!

Re: Webserver

No problem, I already thought something like that :) Well, I guess with all the improvements blackwind did, the next release won't be far anyway. (also I did two more plugin fixes that could be included in the next release, I will post it in the release topic as soon as the test period is over) I ha...

Re: Webserver

Hi Pako,

why did you add "eg.PrintTraceback()" in line 472??
This results in very ugly error messages (see attachment).
Would you please leave it out?

Re: Ping

yes, this problem has already been reported, you can try the first release of the plugin. Sorry, but I won't fix it, I don't use it anymore. That's a shame, I liked that plugin... The first version works but has the known performances issues since it opens ping.exe every time a ping is send out, al...

Re: Webserver

content = json.dumps(result) is one of the things that didn't work for me, just as data = json.loads(content) it leads to an exception. lines 475-481: correct me if I'm wrong, but I think these lines should fulfill the post request if no file is sent to the requester  (I'm not sure, that's ho...

Re: Webserver

However, I have two questions: 1) This is a new bug, or it occurred in the previous version too? 2) Can you please give me instructions on how I can cause the same error? Maybe you can put an attachment here (with examples). well, it worked with my modification as the default doesn't allow to parse...

Re: Ping

Hello, this plugin slows down my configuration a lot if a host is not active - it blocks the whole Eventghost completely for about 3 Seconds every time a ping doesn't reply. (unfortunately without generating additional CPU load) It seems like the whole Eventghost has to wait for some reason, changin...
