Re: The O-MEGA Project

Newbie's Log: I went to check out the templates. Went back to PC install of EG. Went to Config screen to hit install and save my config and load a template. The File Open Combo Box showed no files of the .OMG extension. I noticed within my File Explorer that they all have .html extensions. I tried ...

Re: The O-MEGA Project

I have not forgotten this plugin. Getting all sorts of non-related pc-problems here but have done one try. Installation seems fine but then it's not going so well. Connection on lan ok. Login ok but startpage looked/reacted bad. Server on win7 ultimate and connecting pc win7 pro with Firefox browse...

Re: The O-MEGA Project

Hi Steve, I'm happy you like it! Yeah, that installer was made very quick and dirty, I'm happy it worked actually as I barely tested it  Access control is on the list of upcoming features, the foundation for it is in place, but there is no inference for it yet. It'll come for sure, b...

Re: Locale problems in EventGhost.

Great! Sounds like you really made yourself some thoughts about this already :) Yeah, the serial event processing has always been an annoyance for me too. I understand that it makes things easier, but when you use Eventghost as the core of your automation, this can really slow down things. I also th...

Re: Locale problems in EventGhost.

I agree with everything you wrote Kevin! And yes, when we get our hands dirty with changing the GUI framework, we should also seperate the GUI from the rest of the code to be able to run EG as a service and for doing changes more easily in the future. While we're at it, I'd suggest to also change th...

Re: After upgrading to version 0.5.0-rc6 HTTP webserver events need to be renamed

Hi mkanet, That's not a bug, it's a bugfix :) No, seriously, when plugins are able to create an event without prefix, multiple plugins could trigger the same event, what may lead to an unexpected behavior in your actions. That's why with EG 0.5 a mandatory prefix has been added. It also makes things...

Re: Locale problems in EventGhost.

That's a royal pain indeed! wx Python is so deeply integrated into eventghost and it's plugins.. I totally understand your frustration and yeah, it's pretty rude from that developer  but changing the GUI framework would mean reprogramming Eventghost in it's core and especially for the hundreds...

Re: EventGhost_0.5.0-rc6 web server broken or changed?

I can tell you that the webserver plugin in 0.5 rc6 is working in general. However, there were lots of changes to it since 0.4.1, so we need more information about your problem. How is your plugin configured? (Picture of the configuration dialogue) What is the HTTP get command you are using? Any err...

Hey Kevin,
I don't think I can administrate this site as well as you do, but I'd volunteer to be a backup.
I don't hope anything will happen to you though.. take care, this virus really seems to spread very fast in the US at the moment! :|

Re: The O-MEGA Project

Hi Wysocki, I'm happy to see someone finally tried it out :) Yes, it was indeed a lot of work  That you need to add the plugin to your config is actually written in the instructions given to you when you run the install.bat. That part is displayed in the cmd after the window openes where you cl...

Re: Error opening options dialog

At the same time I am trying to work in automatic translations. Hi Kevin, You're working on a lot of things and do a great job improving EG, but if you ask me, this is something not worth the effort. I never met someone outside an English speaking country that appreciates an automatic translation. ...
