Re: Play a sound between noon and 5

Ah, yeah, you're outside a function.. you could have wrapped it all in a function, then return would have worked ;)
Anyways, I'm happy it's working now!

Re: Play a sound between noon and 5

Well then, I guess your "sys.exit()" is not working. Did you try using "return" instead?

Re: Play a sound between noon and 5

Ok, replace:
path = "C:\windows\test"
With
path = "C:\\windows\\test"
And
eg.plugins.System.PlaySound(path + "/" + onlywavfiles[randomnum], 1, False)
With
eg.plugins.System.PlaySound(path + "\\" + onlywavfiles[randomnum], 1, False)

That should do the trick ;)

Re: Play a sound between noon and 5

You forgot to import listdir.

Try to add this line in the beginning:

from os import listdir

Re: Play a sound between noon and 5

Hello Patricia, Of course this is possible! I see two options: 1. You have a condition (Python command action) inside your macro that checks the time and if it's not between noon and 5 followed by a jump action will jump to an empty macro if the expression is not true 2. You create a schedule that t...

Re: Plugin broadcaster not starrting

Hi smbs,

I don't have any experience with that plugin, but the disable/enable you could also automate in EventGhost with a small macro.
Just create a macro with the disable action followed by the enable action and trigger it on the event EventGhost fires on start.

Re: EG Backup script

There is a variable in EventGhost where the actually open tree is stored that can be used to automate backups.

When you are running O-MEGA viewtopic.php?f=44&t=10557
Your tree is automatically backed up along with any configuration change in the O-MEGA system

Re: Run application from Crestron

Hi Kislez, Welcome to EventGhost! :D There are many ways to trigger events in EventGhost from a remote system. I'm not familiar with Crestron and it's capabilities, but I'm pretty sure you will find a plugin for EventGhost for whatever protocol Crestron supports. There are several plugins that suppo...

Hi Dan,
I'm not sure if I understand it correctly, but does

Code: Select all

 eg.event.suffix

Re: Virtual dimmer and Smartthings

Ok, good, then it works as expected/normal. When you put this code in your macro in a python script action: print eg.event.payload[0] You will see the level in the log (just 71) You can "work" with this value using the Python script action or Python command action. An example here, put this in a pyt...

Re: EventGhost on Windows 10 Login Screen

Just some thoughts:

If you find something like a command line tool to unlock your PC you can trigger that one with EventGhost.

The initial login screen can be worked around by setting up auto logon in Windows.

Re: Virtual dimmer and Smartthings

Hi Pat1225, That's strange.. are you sure the original event is "st.ST.EventGhostDimmer [u'71']" and not "st.ST.EventGhostDimmer.level [u'71']"? The part within the brackets (your level value) is called the event payload and is ignored when assigning the event to a macro. However, you can access thi...

Re: EventGhost on Windows 10 Login Screen

Hi, To make it short - no. EventGhost runs in your users session, the login screen is not part of your users session, so that will not work. The lock screen it a little different from the login screen, perhaps here are some workarounds by using tscon (the version for Windows 8 may still work under W...
