Re: The O-MEGA Project

Hi Steve, awesome! :D For the persistent variables: The message about persist variables you're getting is just a startup message of the webserver plugin O-MEGA loads in the background, but they are not used. Instead O-MEGA stores all information persistently in it's configuration files! As I wrote e...

Re: The O-MEGA Project

Hi Steve, Thank you for the kind words! :) I'd also like more people to use it, but also don't want to scare them away (including you) with too many options and complexity  Anyways, looks like you're really interested in getting involved with the tool - and that's greatly appreciated! :mrgreen...

Re: The O-MEGA Project

Hi Steve, I'm very happy you like it! :) As for the tutorial; I kinda hoped you could ask some more specific question :) First, you need to add (all) your HA actions to O-MEGA. There are multiple ways to do this: The more complex but more powerful way is via an extension and a template. Actually, th...

Re: lg webos via Python

Hi Jörg,
In that case, I'd recommend you take a looks at the code from the old plugin to learn from it. That's how I created my first plugin as well ;)

Re: Best way to use persistent variables?

Hi, of course you can use the persistent variables in a script, you just need to write it a little different.. whenever you would read the value of your variable, you call the function "get persistent value" (or something like that) instead, whenever you write a value of that variable, you call the ...

Re: lg webos via Python

Hi Jörg,

Did you know there is already a plugin for LG TVs?
I remember that I've seen that, unfortunately I couldn't use it as my TV is too old (no smart tv yet)
Perhaps the work is already done ;)

Re: The O-MEGA Project

Yay, finally! :) Good luck Steve! And thank you for the screenshot! I can see that the O-MEGA internal alias for your server is the same as mine, I guess something is still not clean with the plugin installation  But this should not impact the functionality in any way, and you can rename that ...

Re: The O-MEGA Project

Hi Steve! No worries mate, take your time :) About the folder: No, the webserver files need to go to %appdata% (write permissions are required), but this is the default when you run the install.bat and actually you can't even put it anywhere else, as the O-MEGA plugin has this path hardcoded for it'...

Re: The O-MEGA Project

Hi Steve, Hmm, very strange :| Can you maybe try to load the O-mega plugin into an empty EG tree first before including it into your previous config? This would eliminate any issues that may be related to other items in your config. It'll be no problem to "transfer" O-MEGA from the new tree to your ...

Re: The O-MEGA Project

Hey Steve, did you already have a chance to try it again? Since your old webserver was running on the same port, a cache problem is most likely. However, in case it's still not working after clearing the cache, can you please check if there are errors in the web console of your browser? (Pressing F1...

Re: The O-MEGA Project

Hi Steve, I'm happy to hear the installation worked now for you :) The log looks good, the "-" is the default for the server, so that's ok. Did you add the two scenes, or were they there already? You installed it on a new PC right? Not the one from last time (as if so, you would need to delete your ...

Re: I have control over the github repo

Hi Kevin, Yay! Very good, so looking forward to EG 0.5 final! :D :D :D Actually I'm using certificates with the webserver plugin and never had an issue with it.. but I'm also not using websockets, maybe that's why :| For the problem I found, the solution was to configure a timeout for the connection...
