Re: New version 0.5.0-rc6 is out

Hi Everyone! As you may know the latest release (rc6) has some pretty annoying flaws. What you may not know is, that most of the issues have been addressed and fixed in the meantime! The fixes have been pulled into the master branch on github and will be part of the next release (which no one knows ...

Re: How do I make a simple loop?

Hi 007craft! What you need to know is, that macros in EventGhost are all handled in one single thread. That means that can never have two macros running at the same time or have one macro interrupt another one. However, what you want to do is still possible of course and not even too complicated - y...

Re: Plugin for X10

Hi peelon,

You're welcome! :)

You can easily do that by opening EventGhost two times - one time with the new, one with the old config.
Then you just do copy paste between the two instances of EG.

Re: Microsoft MCE Remote - Vista and newer

Hey Jon, Welcome to EventGhost! You're right, it's a general and known issue unfortunately for far too long... But it shouldn't impact how the MCE plugin is working, it's just annoying to work around these grayed out buttons all the time. Workaround is: you add the plugin and while the dialog is ope...

Re: Plugin for X10

It's the line number in the __init__.py plugin file.
264 ends with ".Close()"

Hope that helps!

Re: Plugin for X10

Unfortunately I don't have a x10 device to test with. But maybe one idea:
In the plugin code, can you comment out line 264?
(Put a # in front)
Just a wild guess, but let me know if it helps!

Edit: if it's not helping, try the same with line 265 instead

Re: EG Crushing

Sounds like unloading the plugin causes the crash - that's rather annoying.. Try this: 0. Close EG if running 1.Go to the .egtree file of your configuration 2. Make a copy (as backup) 3. Open the original file with the text editor and remove the complete XML tag for the x10 plugin (should be somewhe...

Re: EG Crushing

Welcome to EventGhost peelon!

It's a wild guess, but it looks like a problem with the x10 plugin you're using.
Can you remove the plugin from your configuration and check if the issue still exists?
