Re: Drawing graphs in EG

When I use the plt.show() I get not only one picture but several pictures. When closing the last picture by hand, EG starts new. On the next step I will try the script outside of EG.

Re: Drawing graphs in EG

It did not work. The picture is saved 4 times and then I get the error message 12:59:01 Traceback (most recent call last): 12:59:01 Python script "155", line 78, in <module> 12:59:01 pad_inches=0.02 12:59:01 File "C:\Python27\Lib\site-packages\matplotlib\pyplot.py", line 695, in savefig 12:59:01 res...

Re: Drawing graphs in EG

I forgot to mention: The behavior of the saved figure file is not as I expected. It's creation date never changes. I guess, the file is not overwritten but manipulated or changed in some way.

Re: Drawing graphs in EG

Something went wrong, when copying the code into the post. Here again without any modifications. import matplotlib.pyplot as plt import numpy as np import json from datetime import datetime params = { 'legend.fontsize': 16, 'figure.figsize': (16, 10), 'axes.labelsize': 16, 'axes.titlesize': 16, 'xti...

Re: Drawing graphs in EG

Here is my actual script: import matplotlib.pyplot as plt import numpy as np import json from datetime import datetime params = { 'legend.fontsize': 16, 'figure.figsize': (16, 10), 'axes.labelsize': 16, 'axes.titlesize': 16, 'xtick.labelsize': 16, 'ytick.labelsize': 16, 'figure.titlesize': 22 } plt....

Re: Drawing graphs in EG

I'm sorry, but there is an issue, I did not solve yet. After generating some plots I get a warning: 22:53:38 C:\Python27\Lib\site-packages\matplotlib\pyplot.py:522: RuntimeWarning: More than 20 figures have been opened. Figures created through the pyplot interface (`matplotlib.pyplot.figure`) are re...

Re: Drawing graphs in EG

I couldn't wait until the weekend and tried your code creating the png image and spent a night for it. I am collecting the sensor data in a separate file and regenerate the image periodically from it. But I think the html solution you suggested is actually better. Since I have no experience with web...

Re: Drawing graphs in EG

Oh, you are so diligent. Thank you very much. I have no time left this week. I will have a look at your code next weekend.

Re: Drawing graphs in EG

Thank you for your advice. At the moment the temperature is measured every 5 minutes, not every 5 seconds. The time is in military format: 16h 23 min 21 sec. I want to keep the project as simple as possible. The Android MQTT dashboard itself is able to show a jpg-file located on a webserver. E.g. ht...

Re: SunTracker - with moving ghost

Since a few days SunTracker reports the only WeatherCondition: 'Undefined'. Has anyone an idea for the reason? Has something changed at weather.com?

Re: Drawing graphs in EG

Please give me some time. At the moment I am "playing" with the hardware. The source of my data is a Sonoff basic WLAN switch with TASMOTA firmware with an additional temperature and humidity sensor AM2301. The Sonoff reports the data periodically with MQTT messages. They are in JSON format: {"Time"...

Re: MQTT Client

I would like to use an EG variable in the topic field of the publish command. This field seems not to support variables. Could someone add this feature please?

Thank you.

Drawing graphs in EG

I want to create and send a picture (.png or .jpg) that contains a graph of measured temperature values to my MQTT Dashboard. Is it possible to create the picture with EG? Witch library do I need? How can I install it? Sending it with the MQTT plugin is possible.

Thank you in advance.
