Re: SunTracker - with moving ghost

OK, thanks for the info. I have a few Insteon devices, but I don't have a powerline modem for them yet. I'm planning to expand them and add some control from a PC and also a dedicated controller (so that the PC doesn't need to remain powered on 24x7). Just out of curiosity, what kind of RF switches ...

Re: SunTracker - with moving ghost

If the "After midnight" settings are not zero, this would continue all night until sunrise?

Re: SunTracker - with moving ghost

Walter,

I've read this entire thread, and I've also read the readme.txt file, but I cannot find this answer. Can you please explain the "moving ghost" feature?

Thanks,
Brian

Re: Windows Media Center (MCE) - Beta

After installing the MCE Remote plugin for Vista/7 ( see here ), and the associated background service, I found it easier to just add the HID registry keys back into the registry. This makes the remote control send commands to Media Center just like it did before I installed EG... plus, EG gets the ...

Re: WIN7 Away mode

I know this is an old thread, but I'll vote for this to be included in the base install of EG. I was having the same problem, and the file attached to the previous post solved it. Thanks!

Re: New way to get MCE Remote signals in EG (for Vista/Win7)

Never mind. I see what you did now. I looked in your python scripts and I see where you're changing the registry keys for the HIDIr remotes. I exported that key, installed the service, exported the key again and found the differences. Then, I made a registry patch that I can load after installing th...

Re: New way to get MCE Remote signals in EG (for Vista/Win7)

I just installed this plugin. The reason I wanted to use is is because it can receive any IR command. I still want my MCE remote to act normally though. So, what I'm looking to do is to let Media Center behave normally... for example, when I press the Guide button on the remote, I want to go to the ...

Re: Can I intercept IR commands with EG?

I use both usb-uirt and original mce receiver. Both work fine for receiving, but usb-uirt can also be used for transmitting ir. That does not work with mce receiver on xp. Thanks for the info. I currently use two dongles on my machine as well. One is for a cheapie remote I got on Amazon that does W...

Re: Can I intercept IR commands with EG?

I just need to confirm that EG will be able to trigger an event/action when it receives specified IR commands. You have full control what macro(s) are triggered when Eventghost gets an event. jonib Thanks for the answer, but does that mean that a IR command from an MCE remote will be read as an eve...

Can I intercept IR commands with EG?

I haven't installed Event Ghost yet. I'm using Windows 7 Media Center. I am currently using IRSS (IR Server Suite) to intercept some IR commands to trigger some macros and send some RS-232 commands to my TV and AVR. I am disappointed with IRSS, because the macros don't correctly save or interpret th...
