Re: Pulse-Eight CEC +

You cannot make it look like an AVR device. But if your AVR supports CEC you should be able to control the volume on your AVR with the plugin. I am going to be putting some time into working on this plugin today I tool a few days ff working on it I am not good at C++ programming so it takes a while...

Re: Pulse-Eight CEC +

I am running through some prelims on the testing of the new plugin. So maybe another day or so. I had a real bear of a time with the plugin config dialog. This was because of the added features and it being way to much to try and squish onto a single line. So i had to make a semi custom control to ...

Re: Pulse-Eight CEC +

OK so here is the deal. I am testing out libCEC as best as i can and it seems to be going well. I did find out a few things. first is Vendor RC codes. this seems to be the ticket to getting a good portion of remote control buttons working, But the debugging information has to be logged and the hex ...

Re: Pulse-Eight CEC +

AVR will help when testing the volume stuff. I have added a few things to libCEC. so the version that is going to be shipped with the plugin is not going to be supported by Pulse-Eight. I have added a few extras. I am still trying to work out the tuner crap. I can't seem to locate any protocol spec...

Re: Pulse-Eight CEC +

well I have some good new and some bad news. I added what I think is a deck state callback to the libCEC dll. and It compiles successfully with making the python interface. The bad news is I do not have a BD player or anything that uses CEC that is some kind of a media player. So I have no way to t...

Re: Pulse-Eight CEC +

I do not know what the lumen output of your projector is. I have an Epson and it is a 2300ish lumen projector and the fun in it runs for 5 minutes after I shut the thing off. I actually have mine on a battery backup. because if the power goes out while you are watching it. there goes the 400 dollar...

Re: Pulse-Eight CEC +

OK i have completely rewritten the control portion of the plugin. I have to give the GUI crap a breeze through. With my extensive reading on this really ass backwards non standard protocol i have discovered a few things that i can do. change the device type the cec adapter acts like. change the nam...

Re: Pulse-Eight CEC +

OK you are the first user that has tested this with 2 adapters. so I am sure there are going to be some things that are going to need to be sorted through. I have a lot of things going on at the moment in my personal life and I will get this this. but you are going to have to be patient. Alright. I...

Re: Pulse-Eight CEC +

Okay.. i didnt install any other versions. Still on your testversion: I plugged in my second adapter. AND.. It seems like my first adapter works now. I really cant tell what this is. Sometimes it says, i cant get a connection, sometimes it works (first no connection, on retry it works, usually) it s...

Re: Pulse-Eight CEC +

I deleted the old plugin and installed the new one. I'm getting the same error but I noticed EG remembered my configuration, or more specifically what I named my connection. Is there some configuration file we might also have to delete in the libcec folder itself? Good question. I dont know. But th...

Re: Pulse-Eight CEC +

I'm not trying to be snarky here but are you SURE you deleted the old plugin? Are you sure nothing else is trying to grab your adapter? I have the prior version working on my system but I can grab this newer one if it helps out. You cannot have two pieces of software grab the adapter at once. I see...
