Re: CPU Monitor with Blink(1)

The library in it's present form will not work correctly with EventGhost. I an working with the creator of the blink(1) and I am making the necessary changes to the library so it will work correctly. Give me a few more days to finish up hammering out things and I will put together a plugin for it. I...

Re: CPU Monitor with Blink(1)

they have a Python SDK available for it.
https://pypi.org/project/blink1/

so it wouldn't be that hard to interface with it.

Re: Pulse-Eight CEC +

@T_J I am going to take a look at the code and see what I can come up with as far as what might be happening. I am not sure if LibCEC is not making the callback for the key release or if I am not handling it properly I may post a version of the plugin that has some additional debugging added. Either...

Re: Event on external monitor on/off

OK so with that TV using some kind of a network API is not going to work. The TV does however have RS232C I do not know if you computer has RS232 or not. a lot of them do in the form of a header on the mainboard and what needs to be gotta in a header to DB9 adapter. I can try the CCD/CI method to se...

Re: Arduino / Raspberri communication with EG

do you know how to program in Python? This is what you are going to need to do in order to write a UI for the thing. Tho there is a UI framework I am sure that is apart of the SDK. But you are not limited to only using the framework from m5stack. You can use any number of GUI frameworks that are ava...

Re: Arduino / Raspberri communication with EG

as it turns out the thing also runs MicroPython and has an API for it. https://github.com/m5stack/UIFlow-Code so I do not need to bother with EtherEvents at all. You need to know how to write Python code to get the thing to do what you want it to do. I can help you with the connection to EventGhost ...

Re: Arduino / Raspberri communication with EG

OK so you are in luck!! the firmware is open source and the thing is able to be flashed. and as it would happen it can be flashed using the Arduino IDE. https://github.com/m5stack/M5Stack I just dropped a line to the author of EtherEvent (friend of mine)to see if he would be willing to add ESP32 sup...

Re: Arduino / Raspberri communication with EG

There is an MQTT plugin for EventGhost. IDK if you are familiar with MQTT or not. It is really geared at the "technical" user. so keep that in mind. Now that device you have is going to have firmware on it that would have to be altered in order to add anything to it. You would need to have access to...

Re: Event on external monitor on/off

as a matter of fact I do know why. It is because your TV is transmitting EDID data in a standby state (most do not do this). Do not fret tho, This is a solvable problem!!! I am going to have to key up a script for you to use that will leverage the Windows API and DDC/CI (Display Data Channel/Command...

Re: Z-Wave

I can do that. I want to get a new release of EG out with an upgraded version of Python this way there is no more issues with getting the plugin installed. After that I will work on updating the plugin.

Re: Event on external monitor on/off

you need to upgrade the version of EventGhost you are running to 0.5 It can be downloaded here.
https://github.com/EventGhost/EventGhos ... v0.5.0-rc6
then the new version of the system plugin should work.

Re: Event on external monitor on/off

I believe that EnumDisplayMonitors is going to return all the displays used on the desktop. This does not include mirrored displays, so if your desktop spans 3 monitors it will return 3 monitors. If your desktop spans 1 monitor and the second monitor is a mirror of the desktop EnumDisplayMonitors is...

Re: Z-Wave

unfortunately the graph was something I never managed to get working correctly. I have a few more years of knowledge on my side now and I might be able to get it running correctly, I would have to tinker about with it again and see where I get. I did write a new binding to openzwave, I was going to ...
