Re: Use of * in event name not working

In the old specification, yes... (I don't know about the new specification), so that is probably why the serial plugin manages to group the bytes nicely.

Re: Marantz/Denon Plugin Development

Ok, I get it... I thought the current API was still as limited as the old one (for the model I have): in that one, it is quite clear what can come from the receiver as it cannot contain any user-added information (such as source names or presets) and thus is restricted to the events listed in the do...

Re: Use of * in event name not working

You cannot have an event for "whatever arrives" on the port. The data is received from the port a single byte at a time. This means that If i sent a command of PWR to the port you would get 3 events in EG "Serial.P", "Serial.W" and "Serial.R" This simply would not work. Actually, it does how me the...

Re: Marantz/Denon Plugin Development

My Python skills are very limited... I can manage to adapt some things for my use by learning from examples (I did this with the other Marantz serial plugin), but feel I lack the time to develop the skills needed for making it. I managed to adapt the current version of the plugin to make it work for...

Re: Use of * in event name not working

I replied to the thread as I thought that was the original poster's issue... I was thinking of using the serial port plugin as to communicate with my amplifier, before I found your marantz plugin. It is still possible with the serial port plugin, if I would generate full set of all events that the a...

Re: Marantz/Denon Plugin Development

I have an older amplifier, whose API is perhaps simpler and more established ( https://www.us.marantz.com/-/media/Files/DocumentMaster/MarantzNA/US/SR6001_RS232_Control_Spec_MAI_V100.pdf ), but even so it also has its issues: the amplifier supports some commands that it should not (according to the ...

Re: Use of * in event name not working

I think the issue is in Eventghost 0.5: when you use the serial port plugin, an event is logged when something arrives on the serial port. This event already has the payload hardcoded in it, there seems to be no way of having an event on "whatever arrives on the serial port"...

Re: SoundGraph iMON API Plugin

I remember playing around with the iMon api, and back when there was some documentation on their website, I learned that the numeric keys are actually transmitted as a standard keyboard. I at one point used autohotkey to distinguish between keypresses from my real keyboard and the remote. I will als...

Re: Marantz/Denon Plugin Development

Hello! Can I ask on the status of this plugin? Previously, I added all actions to the marantz serial plugin (it is somewhere on the forums), but of course it was missing the events and the answers of the amplifier. In this plugin, I checked the code and it seems to use the new set of Marantz command...

Long time no see...

Hello! Just popping back in... I frequented the forum some time ago, and still have a Eventghost config happily running in the background. It mainly served as a translator to between both my Logitech Music Server (xAP plugin) and my serial port connected amplifier (modified Marantz Serial plugin) an...

broadcast plugin error message

Hello!

Lomg time no see... I am getting back to event ghost and have a question regarding the broadcast plugin. When I add the plugin, it just throws an error that a value is out of range. I suspect it is the port number but it has an appropiate value. Any ideas?

Thanks

Re: external python files (LG WebOS TV via lan)

Nothing urgent... Mainly just wondering if you can import an python file in a script... and if so, where do you put it that it will be found. But I'll soon on for Christmas holidays, so it really is nothing urgent. :)

Re: xAP Plugin

I don't know where I got the file I was using, but with the one you linked the problem is gone. I really thought I was using the last version... Sorry... :)
