Re: xAP Plugin

It is not just NVR... Its main function is actually router, an upgraded version of the USG, which combines the router, the controller (in the Ubiquiti ecosystem, you need a controller which allows you to configure the router, switches, etc.), 8 port switch and NVR. It is quite a bite more expensive ...

Re: xAP Plugin

OK i am going to need to do some work on the target field. What I may elect to do is to modify the target in the packet so it is no longer a wildcard and send it. I am not sure if we are supposed to have wild carded targets in the packet or not. In order for me to do that I am going to have to do a...

Re: xAP Plugin

Just managed to test some things (had to install a new router at home, and somehow figured that a Ubiquiti thing (router+access point) would be a good idea... quality looks fine, but configuration had quite some complications). If you would consider such hardware, I have some recommendations about i...

Re: xAP Plugin

I'll be away from the installation for a few days, no chance for me to test/report back before Saturday or maybe even Sunday.

Re: Any recommendations for eg tree structures?

 Actually, that part worked quite well in native Eventghost, using the setting to activate a tree exclusively: if one program is active (using processwatcher), set the tree with macros for that program's reaction to events to exculsively active. And then some checking if the program closes or s...

Re: xAP Plugin

Managed to find time... It seems to work, but there is something off when wildcards are put in the target. http://www.xapautomation.org/index.php?title=Protocol_definition#Target_Based_Addressing I thought the version before the previous one worked with wildcards, the previous one did not allow ente...

Re: Any recommendations for eg tree structures?

Yes... of course it is a bit personal preference, but still it helps to learn from other people... My previous config was 512 kB, and had far too many unused items (which I kept because I thought they might come in handy at one point). Loading it now in Eventghost 0.5 shows that 3 of the 8 plugins a...

Any recommendations for eg tree structures?

Hello, Well, it looks like all the pieces are falling in place for me to start making my config. And I've started planning the egtree structure... Any recommendations on what to do and what not to do? I'm thinking of the following folders: external hardware events that are passed on between devices ...

Re: xAP Plugin

Sending seems to work now: other devices on the network (and udp scanner) see the xAP packets from EventGhost. Great! :) Interesting touch with the drop-down box for the target, but this does preven the use of wildcards (e.g. * and >, where * matches a part and > matches everything else: a.b.c.d is ...

Re: Long time no see...

I have this htpc with a 7"touchscreen, which has it benefits (particularly as the computer is only connected to a projector) if something small has to be done that cannot be done over remote desktop, but if I would do it again I would probably not get the display in the case, but a nice raspberry-pi...

Re: Error opening options dialog

I don't see the other issues... despite my seemingly exotic locale.

Amazing how much you manage to pull of for EventGhost (and the speed at which you do it), just make sure you personal situation is in order. Difficult times for everybody, so keep sane!
