Re: Best wifi or ethernet IR blaster

Cool :)
I'm still looking for one.
It needs an android device?
The mce ir and usb uirt emitters are just awfull as every second command I send from EG gets stuck for like 3 secs.

Best wifi or ethernet IR blaster

Looking for the best wifi or ethernet IR blaster.
I'm not very pleased with the mce-ir (gets a lot of false events after I turn on the Tv, USB only) and usb-uirt (USB only, doesn't catch signal from everywhere like the mce-ir).
I hope to find something that works well.

Re: Philips Hue plugin

Great plugin!!! Thanks for the hard work!

I added a correction to an error line (1512).
I guess this correction should be to other error lines as well (str(r['state']['on'])) ?

EG freezes on Mce IR transmit (alternate mce ir plugin)

Any Idea why EG freezes sometimes (!) when transmitting IR?
I also noticed that after the TV is turned on (Sony LCD) - it receives a lot of unknown 'commands' from the mce.

Re: Lights and electrical equipment control with EG

Yep.
I think RF over 433 Hz is allowed.
I thought of:

http://www.coco-technology.com/en/home/

or

'plc' bus equipment that I can buy locally (I do use Ethernet over electrical cables between floors so it might interrupt?).

Re: Lights and electrical equipment control with EG

Israel. I saw there are no compatible devices on Z-Wave site (?) but I read the frequency approved here is 916 MHz.
Most recommended brands or products?
Also, is there a z-wave IR blaster for eventghost?

Other options I found:
Philips hue (from some applications).
Apple HomeKit compatible devices.

Lights and electrical equipment control with EG

Looking for reliable, fast, preferably controlled from EG lights control. 1. Specs needed: 220/230V, wireless or on electric wires (i.e Z-wave etc.). 2. Preferably small units as my switches 'holes' are round (rather than squared). 3. Allows to control the light from local switch as well (and 3-way,...

Re: Microsoft MCE Remote - Vista and newer

When transmitting IR, event ghost freezes for seconds(!). It doesn't happen all the time.
I think it happens with USB-UIRT as well but I'm not sure (I have them both connected but in different rooms).
I tried to search for such error on the forum and didn't find a solution.
Any idea?

Emulate Another plugin event

Is it possible to emulate another event without the "main" prefix?
For emulating mce remote by virtual remote for example.

Mapping remote buttons

I haven't found howto's for the generated items when installing the plugin. If you map one button (mce remote, an event), lets say an arrow key, to multiple items such as in general, media playing, full screen video, will it select automatically one of them depending on the window/action you're in X...

Logoff screen

If the system logoff (like after disconnecting from remote access), the remote doesn't control anything,
so I can't enter the logoff which means I have to use keyboard or reset the system.
Any solution to that?

Re: Support for XBMC2 plugin (formerly XBMCRepeat)

Can anyone explain how to use: buttons, actions, windows etc. so one button won't activate both of each.
Is it possible to use it without configuring remote.xml?
