Re: Generic HID

I came here to ask this question in desperation even though it's not related to EG. I is related to the HID plugin however. I've been working with the "Other HID" script at AutoHotKey but have run into a snag and no one there can figure it out. http://www.autohotkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=41397&s...

Re: Problem with an HID remote

Only thing I can think of here is the "Log only assigned and activated events" check box in the lower left corner. You did un-check that didn't you?

Re: Double input on controller

Ooh, and your other question. Some of my Gyration buttons are seen as two different input devices generating two commands. An example might be "HID.button.205" and "Keyboard.pause/play" from the same key press. The "Keyboard.pause/play" is also seen by the system and controls media players without u...

Re: Double input on controller

I have a similar problem with my Gyration Air Remote. It literally sends 15 messages on some key presses. For those keys I came up with this work around macro I call "Key Fix" to catch the first one and ignore the rest. It seems to work well, only downside is there is a wait time between the key pre...

Re: Is it possible to emulate mouse drag and drop?

Absolutely, in the mouse actions there is "Toggle left mouse button". That will allow you to drag and drop. I use it quite a bit in a game I play and it works well.

Re: Best generic IR reciever to use with EG.

I've been using USB-UIRT for about 6 years now and it works great for me. I don't have any problems with having to aim the remote at it, in fact I sit my remote in a charging cradle and it point directly at the ceiling. When I was testing the distance of the remote I use now, an Ipaq RX3715, I stood...

Re: BM_Click lesson needed.

I tried this again to be sure I was targeting the window correctly and I still get no response. I can send keystrokes when it's ran normal but it doesn't seem to get them when it's hidden. I can use "Bring to front" to unhide the window but then I still can't send keystrokes to it. It seems that onc...

Re: BM_Click lesson needed.

I'm sorry, I left out one important piece of information. I'm trying to record with the window hidden as the Autohotkey script does. It sends a message I believe is the equivalent to the BM_Click command to control the player while hidden. I have found another option that seems to work well. Another...

BM_Click lesson needed.

I've been trying to learn to use the BM_Click function with a program called Audacity which is a free audio recorder/editor. I found an Autohotkey script that uses it to record while in a hidden window. It can be found here, http://www.autohotkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=53673. I thought I could us...

Shortcuts as events?

Is there a way to trigger an event using a shortcut from the desk top? I have a second task bar filled with short cuts to all my most used folders and applications including bring up the on screen remote. Right now the shortcut actually opens a Autohotkey script that trigger EG's Task Create plugin....

Re: VLC media player

I posted this in the VLC forums but didn't get any helpful answers. Even thought I'm sure this is a VLC issue I'll ask here just in case it's an interface issue. Using the VLC plugin with VLC version 9.9 everything seems to work correctly. When using it with version 10.0 the skip forward action make...

Re: Gyration remote

Hi Richo, I was going to point you to a post about this very same topic that was made some time ago but I can't seem to find it anymore. As I remember it, the final conclusion was the OS doesn't see these buttons pressed unless your running the Gyration software. I didn't have the software to test t...
