Re: OnkyoISCP plugin

Has anybody had any luck getting this to work with an Onkyo TX-NR686? I managed to get it to connect by setting the time-out to 5s. It is receiving events with timecodes for what is currently playing, but when I send a command nothing happens. I've tried... PWR00 PWRQSTN MVL80 MVLQSTN ..but no joy. ...

Re: Pulse-Eight CEC +

Partial success! After mucking around with various cables, I decided to try connecting the projector to HDMI 1 on the NUC (as opposed to HDMI 0). Pulse-eight is now sending remote commands to my PC. So... it looks like the internal Pulse-eight adapter for NUCs only works with the second HDMI slot. A...

Re: Pulse-Eight CEC +

So I went ahead and purchases a Pulse-eight for my NUC, based on the impressive support on this forum! :D Unfortunately I have had zero joy getting it to do anything. Everything seems to be working fine in terms of the hardware/software installation, however, I am unable to control anything via the ...

Re: Pulse-Eight CEC +

Thanks once again! :D I am indeed using a USB serial port. It worked flawlessly for 5 years on my old machine (a Zotac ZBOX) but on the new one (Intel NUC) it sometimes works... and it sometimes crashes the computer when I access it. Unfortunately it looks like there is no serial header on my NUC bo...

Re: Pulse-Eight CEC +

Thanks for the info, kgschlosser. The Epson has a control to set the lamp brightness to certain scenes. It's a single push on the remote. Can you specify commands using the Pulse Eight plug-in? Previously I was using a Com port and serial cable, but on my new PC this doesn't seem to work (as Eventgh...

Re: Pulse-Eight CEC +

Hi there! I am thinking of getting one of these for my NUC, to control my projector. What sort of functionality does the Eventghost plug-in offer? Ideally I would like to be able to send remote commands (like switch HDMI input, or adjust brightness mode). Is this achievable? (The projector in questi...

Re: A few Plug-ins have mysteriously stopped working...

Found the culprit - for some reason my schedulGhost XML settings file had become truncated. Maybe it was being written to when my computer crashed... All sorted now - thanks for the assist!

OK.
Did both of those things - chkdsk & sfc - no errors found.
Issue still persists.

Any other things I could investigate?

Re: A few Plug-ins have mysteriously stopped working...

Thanks for the tips!

I managed to fix the com port issue - as you suspected, for some reason my driver had become corrupted. A quick re-install fixed it right up.

I'll try your other suggestions to see if that fixes the other error!
Thanks!

A few Plug-ins have mysteriously stopped working...

Hi there, I have been using EventGhost for a few years now without issue. However, this week, after rebooting my PC, a few of the plug-ins (SchedulGhost & Serial Port) no longer worked. I got the latest version of EG and the plug-ins, but the error persists. Here is the info from the log: 07:41:31 P...

Re: SunTracker - with moving ghost

Ah! Changing the location info as you suggested seemed to fix it.
The code I was using was from Yahoo Weather, not The Weather Channel.
Maybe Yahoo have altered something recently that breaks Sun Tracker?
I'll stick with TWC for now. Thanks for the help!
