you don't get any errors when the plugin initially starts?? I can do that, no problem but I can tell you right away that the problem will still be there, why ? the answer is easy, when the problem occurs, just by restarting EG the problem is solved 100% of the time. If your screen has all kinds of lights on it. for things like HDD activity, LAN activity, E-mail. we are going to be able to set those lights on or off. Pretty cool when coupled with EG. we can use those lights as Notifications other then their intended use. I'm really interested by this feature !!

yes i'm using a laptop, I mentioned it a few posts earlier :) so if I understand well, for this specific matter (using a laptop) WMI works better than ctypes ? Because with WMI not only I can get the current brightness level, I can also set it to whatever I like. Well anyway, we can continue this co...
