Re: Questions for new setup to use with Kodi, Harmony, WMC

Keep in mind that this is still a release candidate. I have been using V5 since it came out, and I have had very few problems. I'm not sure why you are getting so many errors but you could try to save your current tree to the desktop, then close and restart EG, and reload your tree. EG works with di...

Re: Can I use the EG Webserver plugin to publish m3u lists

On a high level, when a client video player is pointed to this webserver, does it parse the files in the EG webserver folder and look for media in the format it has been configured for?

Re: Can I use the EG Webserver plugin to publish m3u lists

I'm doing this as a kind of experiment, so that I might some day be able to achieve one or both of these goals. Goal 1 is WMC in windows 10 doesn't support cable card tuners. By broadcasting the streams over HTTP (I think), I can use something like DVB Link's WMC client to view channels from a cable...

Re: Can I use the EG Webserver plugin to publish m3u lists

KG, if I were to do this, I'm not sure my PVR Clients (WMC, or maybe DVB LInk, IDK Yet) would be able to consume the stream. I'm not sure how I would go about embeding that playlist into webpage yet either. That sounds really simple but I'm not sure I understand, and I don't know if I'll have to tra...

Re: Can I use the EG Webserver plugin to publish m3u lists

http://forum.dvblogic.com/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=28963 Try this one. That topic you linked isn't it. Mine talks about publishing all of the channels from an HD Homerun Prime to a web server, and then broadcasting them with DVP link IPTV software.

Re: Can I use the EG Webserver plugin to publish m3u lists

http://forum.dvblogic.com/viewtopic.php I'm attempting to basically do what is in this post. If I'm successful im thinking I could consolidate my cable and web sources into a single m3u stream and use whatever media center software to view it. Being able to view the streams in a browser based progra...

Re: Can I use the EG Webserver plugin to publish m3u lists

I was looking to store them for retrieval but it would also be nice to be able to play them from the web page's menu. Is there some simple way to accomplish this? Would it only display a m3u file or would i be able to select from the available files within the m3u list?

Can I use the EG Webserver plugin to publish m3u lists

I am testing out various DVB link/IPTV combinations so that I can watch channels from my HD Homerun Prime via IPTV on any client. I have generated a m3u Playlist of a few channels, and I would like to publish this list via the EG webserver plugin. Is this possible? I just need some webserver to stor...

Re: Windows Media Center MCE remote in Win 10 in 5 easy steps

Those drivers probably installed when you plugged yours into the PC. Unless someone had Windows Media Center on their Win 7 or 8 PC and upgraded to ten the ehome folder won't be there. This tutorial is kind of a test run, and I'm glad to get some feedback. If enough others chime in that they are suc...

Re: Windows Media Center MCE remote in Win 10 in 5 easy steps

Depending on what hardware and operating system one might be using this might be necessary to get remote events to show up in the log. Windows ten doesn't have ehome, and I'm guessing all remote support was removed from the OS.

Re: Windows Media Center MCE remote in Win 10 in 5 easy steps

////SUGGESTED HARDWARE/// These are known good IR Receiver/Blaster combos and remote that other users have reported success with in the past using Windows 7 and the Windows Visa+ plugin. If you wish to add to this list, please reply to this thread, and I will add it. Include the OS, Tell is if you ...

Re: Have I bought the wrong IR emitter?

That looks like an IR blaster so yes that just sends remote codes to external devices. You can still use event ghost to tell it which codes to send and when to send them though. What are you trying to accomplish?

Using the web server plugin to trigger events

I have a few different programs that integrate with Windows Media Center where I setup client software on a given PC, and download an android app to control said software. I am wondering if there is a way I could setup the EG webserver or some other plugin to listen for events on that same port and ...

The mechanism to handle this issue is in place. it simply needs to be used.

It could be as simple as restarting the plugin in most cases.
Is this part of the plugin review/rewrite you have alluded to in the past?
