Re: Microsoft MCE Remote - Vista and newer

OK so this is the skinny. I have finished up writing the back end (the windows API bits and pieces) and I believe it should work.. I did test a bunch of it already. The discovering of the receiver works. I can get the path to the receiver and connect to it without problem. I have to test the receivi...

Re: Microsoft MCE Remote - Vista and newer

HOLY CRAP!!! that whole service is coded incorrectly. They are using the receivers learn mode to read IR all the time for normal operation. So the range is going to be shit they are passing incorrect structires to DeviceIoControl for it to fill with data when receiving. No wonder why so many people ...

Re: Microsoft MCE Remote - Vista and newer

It's a limitation in the service. It as written incorrectly. Let me give you the rundown.. There is a thread loop. this loop runs until the service gets stopped. this loop does several things. The communications between EG and the service takes place over a named pipe. so the loop is responsible for...

Re: Microsoft MCE Remote - Vista and newer

ok the event being produces is an enduring event.. so now we know that. If I place that command directly after "MceRemote.Mce.VolumeUp" Then I get return False. If I place it after "Transmit IR" or "Auto-Repeat Macro" it returns True. OK so now we know 100% that it is an enduring event. That is a go...

Re: REQ: display settings - toggle HDR mode (nvidia)

give this a go and see if it switches to HDR mode for you. if it does then I can modify the thing in order to have it compile as a DLL file and we will be able to access it from EG. Or you can use it as is if you want. You can launch the console program using EG that should switch the mode to HDR. a...

Re: Broadlink rmpro plugin

it works. if you have python 2.7 x86 installed and you install packages into that Python EG will be able to load most packages. we have run across a few that do not work.. the QT library being one of them.

Re: Threaded Events

ok so I have some metrics for ya. 51 threads generating 200 events each thread. the total run time to generate the 10200 events. 3.276 seconds! doing the same test without the threaded events. 4.384 seconds. Now I know that it doesn't seem to be much. it's a 33% increase in speed. which is actually ...

Re: Pulse-Eight CEC +

the DLL when opened up in dependency walker loads as x64 for me..

scratch that I thought i was opening as x64 because of all of the other dll's. it is loading as x86 but is referencing the64 bit dlls. but that is probably because of DLL Walker not properly redirecting.
