Re: Eventghost Motion Sensor

The aeotec multi-sensors suck @ PIR. These guys have worked reliably for me & are on the cheaper side.(for zwave atleast). https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MQXXG0I/re ... .BbF5YGYZ8

Re: Best plugin/app for remote playback

Yep, 2 macros.

getCurrentPlaylistItem > Save to eg variable > jumpToPlaylistItem

Then Second macro would use the kodi event for track change. JumpTo saved eg variable.

I have most of this done for other purposes. Ill post when i get home. It may not be in time for you to implement though.

Re: Best plugin/app for remote playback

The arm version of kodi supports/uses the same json-rpc api that the xbmc repeat plugin uses.

Kodi has a jumpto item command when dealing with playlist positioning. This should be do-able.

Re: Apple TV Plugin

That module is for python 3. EG uses python 2.7. This will likely be possible in the future, but not with current versions of EG.

Re: Sending strings to a webserver

You make any progress on this? I think i'll install wmc on my server. Most of my video content is streamed via cloud these days. It'd be nice to be able to record OTA stuff occasionally. I know that are some good dev's out there trying to keep it alive. Like KG said though, they should just release ...

Re: Retrieve value from a textbox on a window and expose via HTTP

Sorry, i got busy for a while & didn't have a chance to set this up until today. I tried this a few different ways. This was the simplest that worked. You can do this via ajax & json responses, but it's really an unnecessary complication. This example uses the webserver plugin to store variables per...

Re: Sending strings to a webserver

Cool. If I still recorded TV this would be pretty interesting to me. This seems to open pretty much every control WMC has. WMC was the most rock solid DVR I ever used. I may play around with this a bit & see if I can't get the formatting worked out.

Re: Sending strings to a webserver

Yes, demo should work with any version of eg. If you get an error, try installing most current webserver plugin. When sending data. It's json formatted (python dictionary) . It requires an indent in front of the data though (4 spaces) . I'm not sure why this is, but it will throw an error if you don...

Re: Retrieve value from a textbox on a window and expose via HTTP

This is possible. I'll post an example when I get in front of a pc here.

**edit**

Ran into a bit of a problem getting it to return from a http request. Didn't have much time last night to see what was going on. Should have it worked out here shortly.

Re: Retrieve value from a textbox on a window and expose via HTTP

Only if the webserver plugin is hosting the page you'd like to retrieve the value from. If it's not, you can scrape and parse the value out using python "urllib, requests, re". If you'd like an example of the latter, I can post one for ya.

Re: Sending strings to a webserver

I believe the webserver plugin should work for you. I'm not in front of a pc, but I think the action you want is something like "send to other webserver"
