Re: VLC not working

You can give this a shot. It should resolve the error. Unfortunately i think there's more broken with this plugin. I get connected on first command, then connection lost on the second command. This was happening before making any changes to the plugin on my end though. It appears to be losing the co...

Re: Will pay someone to fix this script error please

Sorry, i have no idea what your getting at there. I have no clue what helped you or how it was resolved. I'm afraid i can't solve your other two issues properly. Beyond my scope really.

Re: Will pay someone to fix this script error please

I'm guessing you meant importing urllib2 as urllib was what got it working. Try this tree out & see if it still works. EG-OTSAVmod2.egtree I really don't have a clue as to what is causing sound when you send System Vol. cmds. Finding & pulling up the controls is going to be dependent on your system....

Re: Will pay someone to fix this script error please

EG works similar to windows explorer. You can copy the code here, then right mouse click on one of your tree items, then choose paste(like the screenshot). This should add a two python scripts. There's no need to open the xml & try to append the new code. Copy/Paste like you would any other windows ...

Re: Will pay someone to fix this script error please

Copy paste this onto your tree & see what happens when you run it. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?> <EventGhost Version="0.5.0-rc4"> <Action Name="test" XML_Guid="{DA02A1A9-A7C5-4332-B5F5-C3DF20F458EB}"> EventGhost.PythonScript(u"import requests\nimport json\n\nresponse = requests.get('http:/...

Re: Will pay someone to fix this script error please

So it worked as it should, the music stopped? That narrows it down. It's a issue with EG/urllib then.

Re: Will pay someone to fix this script error please

Okay, try opening this url in a web browser while your dj software is playing & from the same macbook win7 boot. Let me know if it gives an error message. http://127.0.0.1:80/x/playing.cgi?c=stop

Re: Will pay someone to fix this script error please

If it worked originally on port 80, it shouldn't need changing. I'll see what I can dig up on the dj software api though. I'm wondering if http control needs to be enabled in the software settings.

Re: Will pay someone to fix this script error please

No, no. You would just need to change the ip in the xml you posted. It should work as is the way your describing it. We just need to figure out why it's not able to reach the dj software. Let me think about it a bit more. Maybe someone else will chime in with a solution.

Re: Will pay someone to fix this script error please

That error is saying it's a non reachable host. Are you running the dj software on the same win7 install that EG is on? I ask because the ip your using 127.0.0.1 is for a localhost connection,. Ie, the same pc. If the dj software is on another pc, the ip will need to be changed.

Re: Will pay someone to fix this script error please

the xml you posted won't contain the errors you receive in the log. It just houses your EG configuration. Can you copy/paste the errors your getting in the log? Select the log text then right click/copy, then paste it here. Since this is communicating over http. I'm fairly certain it's a networking ...

Re: Will pay someone to fix this script error please

Yes, please attach a screenshot or txt of the error your getting. It looks like this is setup to control your DJ gear over http. So my first guess would be some sort of firewall blocking the cmds on your macbook win7boot. See if turning off the firewall doesn't solve it.

Re: PushBullet plugin (Pako)

Kg, this plugin uses pycurl. Will that work if he changes requests to pycurl in the script?

Re: PushBullet plugin (Pako)

What version of e.g. are you running? This type of error was in e.g. 5.0 rc4 & WIP builds. I was getting it with both the pycurl & requests modules. It's since been fixed. If your using either of those, try redownloading/installing & see if it doesn't fix the problem.
